Quilt for Son #3
Awhile back I mentioned that I make a quilt for each of my boys when they are baptized into our church. I had posted the quilts I made for my first two boys on the blog, but never got around to posting about the next two, so I promised I would get them up soon.
So, today, I am sharing the quilt I made for son #3.
My third son is a green loving boy, so I knew his quilt had to be green. I threw some white and gray in there to break up the green just a little, and I was happy with how it looked.
I used the Scout quilt pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew. I will be honest, this pattern kicked my rear a little bit. Sewing all of that fabric on the bias was a struggle, so I could never get it to look just right. My son loves it though, and doesn't notice all the flaws. Which is a good thing - because there are many!!
I am being brave, and showing a close up shot - please don't judge too harshly. And remember, I made this quilt at the end of 2015, so it has been used daily and washed many, many, many times since then.
At the end of the day, I love this quilt because it is used and loved daily by my son, and that is exactly why I make them.
