Perfect Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love a good oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, but in all the recipes I have tried I could never find one that was just right to me. So, I finally developed my own.  

I think the real secret is in using both old fashioned and quick oats as well as regular chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.  

In addition, it is super important to make sure the cookies are not overbaked. They should be just set on the edges and look a little gooey in the middle when you remove them from the oven.  If you need to reduce the oven temperature, or decrease baking time a bit to accomplish it - do it.  It will make all the difference.

Finally, you can use whatever kind of chocolate chips you like best, but I love these best with semi-sweet.  

To me, these are the perfect Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
