Domestic Doings

It has been awhile since I have posted anything about my domestic doings around this place.  So, here are a few of the things that have been keeping me busy lately.

I put up this simple hook shelf decor for the month of January.

You can find the "Winter is the time for HOME" printable at  Home Made Lovely.

The olive branches need a little  rearranging, but I really like them.  I will include an affiliate link for them at the end of this post.

I also put up a simple, everyday, mantle display.  I made the Home Coordinates sign and I love it!  I blurred out the coordinates, so you don't get the full effect, but I get a little nervous about putting the exact coordinates to my house up on the internet.  Call me crazy!  ; )

The branches are nice and long and are really natural looking.  I am super happy with them.  I will leave an affiliate link for them at the end of the post as well.

I made some healthy-ish peanut butter crunch snack balls for my kids to eat as after school snacks.  I used this recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe.  Just be warned, this makes a HUGE batch, so it takes a little time, and a giant bowl!!

Of course, as usual, loads and loads of laundry were completed!!

I spent a good portion of one day getting my large pantry whipped back into shape.

I also made these yummy Almond Flour Shortbread Cookies.  They turned out perfectly and are delicious!  They are gluten free and pretty low in sugar.  I highly suggest you give them a try.  You can find the recipe at the King Arthur Flour Blog.
I did not use King Arthur almond flour in my recipe, although I'm sure they would be every bit as delicious if I had.  I will add an affiliate link for the almond flour I used with great results.

These cookies are fast to make and I keep them in my freezer for when my sweet tooth strikes.
