Christmas in the Entry

Today I am sharing my entry all decked out for Christmas. Of course, I couldn't stand to do all this Christmas posting without sharing my entry hook shelf.

I kept things pretty simple.  I just hung up our stockings on the hooks.  I don't hang those on the fireplace because we have a wood burning fire in it every night and they would be hanging right in front of it - - not a good idea.  So, this hook shelf is perfect.

On the shelf, I added some berries to my white pitcher, a red vase, a couple of my favorite silver reindeer, and the cutest little metal house I found at Target (not sponsored).

The house has a battery operated tea light inside of it, so you can turn it on at night and it looks so cute and cheerful.

Opposite my hook shelf is my living room, but on the wall right next to the entry to the living room is the perfect space to hang this wood Christmas tree that my husband made for me a few years ago.

I have a couple of small, but special, nativity sets that I never know quite where to display, so these little shelves are perfect!  I put them on the top two shelves and then just filled the rest of the shelves with some random odds and ends from my boxes of Christmas decor.  I think this tree is the perfect excuse to be on the lookout for some other small nativity sets.  I love them.

What makes these nativity sets special to me?  Well this first one is made of olive wood and was purchased for me by my parents when they visited Jerusalem.

And this second one was picked up by my parents when they visited Estonia.  Isn't it darling?!?

I love these simple Christmas touches in the entry.
