Christmas Touches in the Hutch

Well, I honestly feel just a little silly sharing my Christmas touches in my China Hutch with you, since I don't think I have ever actually shared this hutch before.  It was a Craigslist find a few years ago, and it needed a lot of love to get it into the pretty shape it is in now, but I love it.  It was worth all the work.  It is a happy little space in my dining room.

Today I am sharing the Christmas touches I have added to it, but I will try to share it again when things are back to normal in January.

One of the simplest things you can do to add a little Christmas color and cheer to a china cabinet is to put some candy canes in a cup or two.  I love how festive they look and amazingly, my boys have been good about leaving these alone.  I know that once I give them the go-ahead the candy canes will be long gone.

I also found these Santa mugs on clearance a couple of years ago.  I just put them in the hutch to add a little more holiday color.

On the bottom shelf I added our "Cookies for Santa" plate and a few more candy canes.

And I hung this cute twig star on the knob of the door.  I think it finishes the whole thing off.

I love this little bit of Christmas in the china hutch!
