A Quilt and an Explanation

My baby boy - who is now two years old, has outgrown his cute baby quilt and was in need of a new one.  So, for Christmas, I whipped this one up.

It is a throw sized quilt and I used the Skipping Squares quilt pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew. ( I know, I totally love her patterns - - in fact, I just finished another one that I will be sharing soon.)  It is quilted in horizontal straight lines and I bound it with a two-fabric binding.

We still love that cute little baby quilt, but this one is quickly becoming a new favorite.

Now - for the explanation.  .  .

You may have noticed that I have been ignoring this poor little blog of mine lately. The truth of the matter is, that I was sick, sick, sick for six weeks from the beginning of November until mid December, when I finally had to admit that I needed to go see a doctor.  A round of antibiotics later, I finally started to get better, but all of my time had to be spent getting ready for Christmas, so the blog continued to be on the back burner.

Now, I am back and I hope to be posting regularly again.  So excited!!
